Freddy Frogface is centered around a ten-year-old named Victor and his friends, who not only have to face a world full of stern grown-ups but also the town bully, Freddy Frogface. When a circus comes to the sleepy little town, Victor is thrilled at having the chance to perform in a talent show with his dog sausage. Yet Freddy soon comes up with a sinister plot of his own to spoil Victor's plans.
So let's get on with the negative side of things first. This movie was strange yet funny. The language wasn't all that great and I feel that the conflict resolution wasn't expressed in a proper way. I realize that it is rated PG for mild bullying and some rude humor, but the rating says nothing about the vulgar language throughout the entire film. I don't want to say that the the movie intentionally tried to give off the message that, when bullied, just become a bully yourself. Unfortunately that's how it comes off. On a more positive note though there were plenty of bright colors which kept Sophia entertained and glued to the movie.
I honestly thought it was rather cute. I just didn't care for the language used since it is a film for children. The message they were giving off from the film about bullying was a bit confusing on how to handle a bullying situation. Either way, it's just a movie, but children are easily influenced, especially when they're 4 years old. Will I let Sophia continue to watch the movie? Probably so, unless she starts to repeat words that I don't agree with. As far as making a recommendation goes though I would have to say use your best judgement. The film wasn't horrible, just wasn't a favorite of mine. It also averages a 3 out of 5 star rating if that helps with anything.

Ten-year-old Victor must deal with town bully, Freddy, who threatens to spoil everything when Victor gets a chance to preform in a circus talent show.This movie was mildly interesting because of the wild pranks that the main character arranged. The unique style animation was creative.
My favorite character was the dog named Sausage. His cute, friendly personality stole the movie.
This movie was somewhat entertaining, I'd watch it again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

We rented this movie, reluctantly, because there wasnt much selection in our Redbox. It looked like it was going to be a bore, but it was great! The 'cussing' other reviewers mention is extremely mild (is 'friggin' a cuss word now?) and this nonsense about it teaching bad morals or what ever, is crazy. Do all movies have to be a teaching tool now? Movies cant just be good fun??My 4 year old and I loved this movie. The animation is pretty good (it was 3-D in theaters) and the voice acting is fantastic. Its cute enough for kids, a little naughty, too, so that is fun. It has alot of humor that is amusing for adults as well as kids.
The notion that movies for kids need to be squeaky clean is just rubbish, imho. This isnt a bad movie. There are worse 'role models' in the Disney princess movies than in this. This, at least, is creative! It doesnt show little kids that all their problems will be solved if theyre beautiful and find a rich man to marry. This movie is just a fun go round with some kids.
Were buying it, so we can watch it again :}
