This was called `Quick' in South Korea, but has been released here under a different moniker. It is about Gi soo (Min-ki Lee) and Ah-rom (Ye-won Kang) who were both members of a motor bike street gang; how do we know they are a gang? Simple they don't wear their helmets I'd have gone for something on the back of the jackets myself but never mind. This gang seems to welcome all comers including the Papa John pizza delivery bloke that's diversity for you. Anyway they get a bit out of hand and some nasty pile ups occur, so we fast forward and the gang members have gone their separate ways.

Gi-soo has now become the coolest looking courier ever dressed more for a bit part in `The Matrix' than delivering manila envelopes, and one day he gets told to deliver a tiny package somewhere in Seoul and it promptly blows the building to hell. His next call sees him pick up a member of a Girl Power band called `The OK Girls' and take it from me they aren't if their `show' was anything to go by. Problem is it happens to be Ah-rom and she wants his helmet, I mean crash helmet, as she is going to be riding pillion. Then it makes some funny noises and a mobile phone that Gi-soo didn't know he had rings to tell him that the helmet is fitted with a bomb that will explode if removed or if the helmet and phone are more than ten metres apart, or if this nutter decides to kill them. Meanwhile the police have worked out that he is delivering the bombs and so are in very hot pursuit.

So the scene is set for slapstick, comedic, romp across South Korea with a plethora of extra characters and load of car/bike chases and explosions. That is where this scores quite high in the octane stakes; it is the sheer quantity of the action. A word on that, this is not CGI but in places enhancement has been used for the explosions etc. But the stunts are real and they show you in the run offs a lot of the `how it was done' shots and people did get hurt. It also laps up every cliché going including having a bike go through a pile of cardboard boxes, which made me laugh out loud. This is almost like a cool, video game at times.

Whilst the plot is not taxing the acting is juvenile in places and the action full on, this is actually quite a good film. The sub titles are however, well below par with typos and even some sections not translated. That said I needed something to just watch and not think about and this was perfect for that scenario. I love Asian cinema especially South Korean and so was predisposed to liking this, but it is a generous four stars, so might not be for everyone and do avoid if you want something deep and meaningful. If you want a full throttle story of explosions and revenge and you don't mind ludicrous stunts, then you will enjoy.

I should preface my review and my rating by saying it's 3D-centric. In other words, it's based on the quality of the film's 3D and not on the movie itself.

I certainly agree with reviewers who praise the copious amounts action in this film. This review is more about the 3D content of the film. The film appears to have been converted to 3D in post production in that only one or two items have any "depth" to them. The backgrounds appear to be flat with no item in the background any further or closer to the viewer.

I found the 3D effect to be very subtle; so subtle, in fact, I found myself checking my 3D glasses so make sure they were working.

So if flat-out action is what you're looking for, you could certainly do worse than this movie. If you're looking for some 3D entertainment, I'd encourage you to keep looking.
